General Summary

The Metering Technician is responsible for performing meter installations, troubleshooting and meter reading functions at client locations and communities.

This role will help fulfill the company’s vision to provide a best in class “smart property platform” to multifamily developers by assisting in the deployment, operation and maintenance of all deployed sensors and networks.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs installation of meters and other general field work.
  • Prepare and gather handheld meter reads.
  • Coordinates and completes maintenance and repair of equipment.
  • Maintains work orders and coordinates work order activities, schedules appointments and coordinates related work order follow-up.
  • Monitors inventory and completes related monthly reporting.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Requires valid, unrestricted driver's license.
  • Work requires electrical and utility knowledge and aptitude and aptitude to learn metering technology.
  • Ability to travel as necessary across the state of Ohio full-time and outside the state of Ohio on occasion.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to manage competing demands and shifting priorities.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Work requires ability to adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures at all times.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Candidates must have achieved a high school degree or equivalent. An associates degree in technical or trade discipline is preferred but not required.
  • Must be self-motivated, possess excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills,
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be responsive and adaptable to change.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
