JOB SUMMARY: The Junior Utility Analyst supports the Utility Analyst and broader Finance & Operations teams in facilitating utility-related processes for multifamily communities. This entry-level role focuses on administrative coordination, document tracking, and assisting with utility data management. It’s ideal for someone interested in utilities, project coordination, or energy services who is eager to learn and grow within a dynamic industry.

JOB SUMMARY: The Junior Utility Analyst supports the Utility Analyst and broader Finance & Operations teams in facilitating utility-related processes for multifamily communities. This entry-level role focuses on administrative coordination, document tracking, and assisting with utility data management. It’s ideal for someone interested in utilities, project coordination, or energy services who is eager to learn and grow within a dynamic industry.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with collecting, organizing, and submitting utility documentation.
- Track submissions and confirm receipt with utility companies.
- Help maintain internal project tracking systems and status reports.
- Support utility account closure processes and verify billing completion.
- Coordinate meeting scheduling and communication between NEP and utility companies.
- Maintain accurate utility contact records and correspondence logs.
- Research basic utility tariff and regulatory information as directed.
- Support senior staff with data gathering for tariff analysis, rate comparison, and project planning.
- Help prepare materials and summaries for internal teams (Operations, Sales, Finance).
- Resolve errors or issues with utility companies.
- Advise legal and government affairs team on processes, rules, and rate impacts.
- Assist with monthly utility rate updates (electric, water, gas)
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1–2 years of administrative, operations, energy, or utilities experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn utility regulations and procedures.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and online collaboration tools.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines.
- Associate’s degree or relevant coursework in Business, Energy, or a related field (bachelor’s preferred).
