JOB SUMMARY: The Business Development Manager is responsible for the identification, creation, implementation, and geographic expansion of our next-generation products and services. This is a unique opportunity that will require a broad range of skills focused on advancing nascent ideas from inception to full market launch. We are looking for an outgoing individual with a passion for innovation and new business development willing to advance the apartment and energy industry.

QUALIFICATIONS
The pay range for this position is below. The specific starting rate will depend on the chosen candidate’s qualifications and prior experience. $120,000 (meeting minimum requirements) to $160,000 (highly experienced).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for MDU and energy new product and service identification, vetting, and development.
- Develops and farms new opportunities for NEP based on customer feedback, an understanding of NEP’s position in the market, and an understanding of the energy, technology, and multi-family industries.
- Creates initial business models and opportunity analysis as required for new product/solution development in MDU and energy.
- Assesses the existing competitive MDU and energy marketplace and develops new product/solution feasibility analysis to support business models.
- Works with internal stakeholders to receive support and cross-functional approvals for new product/solution development.
- Secures approval for new product/solution rollout from the executive management team.
- Creates and helps to execute an initial go-to-market plan including operational details, marketing details, pricing details, etc.
- Actively identifies and executes key partnership opportunities in support of new product/solution development.

QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA or master’s degree highly preferred
- Three (3) to five (5) years of previous product or solution development.
- Must have MDU experience
- A working knowledge of the energy technology industry
- Strong financial and product creation background with emphasis on Energy and MDU new business, product, or solution development.
- An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to move ideas from vision to reality.
- Comfortable with the dynamics of a service-based business.
- Ability to present well thought out and articulated concepts to an executive management team.
- Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
